Amazing autumn weather has aided harvest this year. The harvest was made easier due to the warmer that average temperatures and lack of 'adverse' weather systems during April and May. This made for easier planning of when to harvest as well as good quality fruit. The wet summer did two things: slowed ripening and increased fruit growth. So all harvesting was coming on later than usual, which increased the risk of frost damage. Thankfully the warm autumn reduced frost risk and sped up ripening. The result is a fantastic consistency of quality olives from all contract growers this year. We look forward to producing great tasting olives for you with this years harvest.
