Fruit set and the weather 15 January 2010 geoff

Fruit set is the term used for when a flower turns into fruit.  Not all flowers will become fruit due to weather conditions over a three week window of pollination.

This years pollination period was relatively short and strong, so we have a solid fruit set across the grove.  Irrigation has begun so the fruit will grow to their best size over the next three months.

Do drop in to the Olivery shop to see the Kalamata fruit set for yourself!
